In 1709 Francis Thynne Lady Worsley's daughter Elizabeth married George Herbert, leaving her younger daughter, Francis, the official "Miss Worsley". Since, as Cupid says "WORSELEY [is] not Marry'd," yhe poem was written soon after 1709, well before 1716 (when Francis Worsley became Lady Carteret).
