And now, an excerpt from part 4 of "The Klingon's Mate," tentatively titled "What Became of Her," currently in progress...

When Odo left Worf and Jadzia’s quarters a couple of hours later, he went straight for Nerys quarters, but he wasn’t entirely sure what, ultimately, he was going to ask of her.

He had to get her to change her plans, obviously. Odo still didn’t entirely understand what Jadzia was so afraid of, but if she might kill herself as a result he had to stop that. Indeed, had Worf said he didn’t want Odo there that evening, he would likely be doing exactly what Jadzia wanted him to do, talking to Nerys with the intention of getting her to retract her message and retreat, with Worf none the wiser that anything had happened at all.

But now, having spent just that little more time with them, Odo was instead thinking too much about how easily Jadzia kept things from her husband. How she had right from that first night, though he hadn’t thought much of it at the time. How she shouldn’t live the rest of her life out that way, always afraid of Worf finding out the truth.
