Nothing had happened for quite some time. Too much time, according to Hino Rei. As she walked along the street with her friend Ami, she kept expecting something evil to leap out of nowhere and attack everyone. When Ami tried to speak to her, she nearly screeched in panic.
"You're too jumpy," Ami advised her. "Calm down." But Ami did not ask why Rei was so jumpy. They could both feel it. Something in the air just didn't feel right that day.
"We can call Usagi if we think there's a real danger." Ami advised.
"Not yet," replied Rei. She was a rather tall girl, with long black hair, which contrasted to short Ami, whose blue hair cropped around her head.
They continued walking for a few minutes. Then suddenly they heard a humming sound. Turning towards the source of the sound, they were both stunned wehn they saw a flash of light fast approaching.
Rei and Ami looked around. Noone was watching.
Rei struck a pose. "Mars Power," she hollered. "Make up!"
Ami followed. "Mercury Power, make up!"
Scarely had Sailor Mars and Sailor Mercury finished transforming then the light hit them. They were both dragged in it, unable to speak or move, or attack. They were surrounded by a rainbow of light. And they were falling, falling...
Next thing they knew they had tumbled, unprotected, into the vacuum of space.
Sailor Mercury watched as Sailor Mars passed out. She could see what looked like a hole in space that they had tumbled out of. She could see some sort of space station. If they saw her, perhaps they could get her somehow. Then she was out too.
